Overripe onderzoekt de supermarkt als een ruimte vol tegenstellingen: gemeenschap en kilheid, overvloed en verspilling. Er zit iets kunstmatigs in elke interactie, elk perfect gestockeerd product, maar het rottende fruit vertelt de waarheid. Of we nu de kwetsbare imperfecties van het leven omarmen of niet – de schimmel, de kneuzingen, de lelijkheid, de rot – ze zijn onvermijdelijk. Zelfs in isolatie zullen perziken bederven.

Overripe examines the supermarket as a space of contradictions: community and coldness, abundance and waste. There is an artificiality to every interaction, every perfectly stocked item, but the rotting fruit tells the truth. Whether or not we embrace the fragile imperfections of life–the mold, the bruises, the ugliness, the rot–they are inevitabilities. Even in isolation, peaches will spoil.
