Video Home System, Guusje America (2018)

The filmmakers’ father digitizes audiovisual material and brings obsolete media back to life. He also takes care of his mother. In this environment steeped in the past, the director tries to bridge the divide brought on by a sordid history between father and daughter. A new connection grows, they share an interest in film technology and find a common past in their home videos on VHS tapes. Faced with the camera, the father attempts to heal the relationship with his daughter.
